Valve has confirmed that Treasure’s hit game Ikaruga has been approved for sale on Steam Greenlight. As reported earlier, the Japanese developer recently submitted the title for gamers’ votes on Valve’s community-driven digital sales platform.
“Votes in Greenlight give us a hugely valuable point of data in gauging community interest along with external factors such as press reviews, crowdfunding successes, performance on other similar platforms, and awards and contests to help form a more complete picture of community interest in each title,” said Valve in a statement.

Ikaruga is an arcade-style shooter first launched in 2001, and previously released for Nintendo GameCube, Sega Dreamcast and Xbox game consoles, as well as Windows computers and Android mobile devices.
