Atlus has confirmed that the popular Sony PlayStation 2 RPG Persona 4, first released in Japan in 2008, will be re-released worldwide for PlayStation 3 via the PlayStation Network’s PS2 Classics on 8 April.
Last year the publisher revealed that Persona 4 Golden, an updated version of Persona 4 for Sony PlayStation Vita that launched in Japan and North America in 2012, and in Europe in February 2013, had surpassed 700,000 digital sales and retail outlet orders worldwide.
The Asia (English) edition of Persona 4 Golden was also honoured as a “User’s Choice” game at the PlayStation Awards in Tokyo in 2013. The domestic (Japanese) release of Persona 4 Golden was also named “User’s Choice” by fans in 2012.
