Square Enix has confirmed that a remake of the Japanese publisher’s popular Final Fantasy III title, first launched on the Nintendo DS in 2006, will be released for PCs via Steam on 27 May.
The original Final Fantasy III game was released on the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in Japan in 1987 and in North America in 1990.
Final Fantasy III has also been released on the Nintendo 3DS handheld console as well as Windows Phone, Android and iOS mobile devices.
