Brain Age DS for Virtual Console

Nintendo has re-released the popular Nintendo DS title Brain Age for the Virtual Console in Japan.

The brain-training game sold over 19 million copies worldwide on the Nintendo DS. Brain Age is the first DS title to be launched on the Virtual Console platform.

The Virtual Console for Nintendo Wii, Wii U and 3DS game consoles is an online service that allows users to purchase and download titles originally released on past home and handheld consoles, including the Nintendo Entertainment System, Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Nintendo 64, as well as Sega Master System and Mega Drive/Genesis, NEC TurboGrafx-16 and SNK Neo Geo AES.

In April Nintendo also re-released selected Game Boy Advance titles worldwide for download via the Wii U Virtual Console platform on the Nintendo eShop.

Game Boy Advance titles released for the Wii U Virtual Console in Japan included F-Zero for Game Boy Advance, Game Boy Wars Advance 1+2, Kirby of the Stars: The Great Mirror Labyrinth, Made in Wario and Super Mario Advance 2.

According to Nintendo, Virtual Console titles for the Wii, Wii U and 3DS platforms have been downloaded over ten million times worldwide since the service was launched in December 2007.
