Redacted Studios, founded in 2012 by former Bandai Namco producer David Robinson, is developing a new Afro Samurai title based on the popular Japanese manga and anime series.
Afro Samurai 2: Revenge of the Bear will be a sequel to the 2007 action game for Sony PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360 from Bandai Namco. Afro Samurai 2 will be distributed by Texas-based publisher Versus Evil.
“Working with independent studios is truly rewarding and we couldn’t be happier to add Redacted Studios to a growing list of top indie studios,” said Versus Evil GM Steve Escalante. “Afro Samurai (2) is an excellent and promising title that we are privileged to be publishing. The talent present within (Redacted Studios) is simply amazing and we are really excited to work with them to bring (Afro Samurai 2) to the market.”
Further details regarding Afro Samurai 2: Revenge of the Bear have yet to be announced.
