NIS America has announced that the strategy RPG Tears to Tiara series will debut overseas for Sony PlayStation 3 with the second title in the franchise, Tears to Tiara 2: Heir of the Overlord (Tears to Tiara 2: Descendants of the Hegemon in Japan), on 14 October in North America with a European release on 11 November.
Tears to Tiara from Japanese studio Leaf was first released for Windows PCs in Japan as an adult title in 2005, followed by a Sony PlayStation 3 version for suitable for children launched in 2008 for Japan, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Tears to Tiara: Garland of the Earth, a remake of the original game for Sony PlayStation 3, was also released domestically in 2009.
The series sequel slated for overseas release, Tears to Tiara 2: Descendants of the Hegemon (Tears to Tiara 2: Heir of the Overlord abroad), was launched in Japan for Sony PlayStation 3 last October.
