Sega Sammy has announced first quarter revenues of 90.7 billion JPY, up 29.6 per cent from last year, with profits of 12.9 billion JPY, up 408 percent from the same period in 2012. Video game division earnings totalled 18.8 billion JPY for the period, with operating profits of 39 million JPY.

The Japanese publisher noted that Company of Heroes 2 sold 380,000 units and Phantasy Star Online 2 for PS Vita sold 500,000 copies in the quarter. Packaged goods sales slowed, but demand for mobile, digital and social gaming content continued to grow.
