Japan’s Konami Digital Entertainment has announced that Julien Merceron will join the company as worldwide technology director, and will be based at the company’s European HQ in the UK.
“Julien is lauded in the industry for his leadership in game design and development,” said Tomoyuki Tsuboi, Konami’s president. “He will help us gain a technical edge in the highly competitive digital entertainment market through contributions to upcoming titles, making them more engaging and exciting for our customers.”
Merceron also led technology development at Square Enix, and previously worked at SQEX owned Eidos as well as Ubisoft.
