Chinese online game developer JoyYou has partnered with US social game publisher Kabam to localise and distribute the Shanghai studio’s popular browser based MMORPG Three Kingdoms Fighter (JJSG) overseas.
“Signing with Kabam is a real coup for us,” said JoyYou founder Steven Shi. “We’ve paid close attention to the success Kabam has had in taking third-party games and widening their appeal by introducing them to huge new audiences.”

JoyYou will also work closely with the publisher to develop a new medieval version of the game for the Western market, according to a statement from Kabam.
“Our licensing of JJSG shows yet again how Kabam can work with the world’s most exciting and innovative programmers to bring their games to even wider audiences,” said Kabam CEO Kevin Chou. “Game companies, wherever they are located, are realizing that Kabam is becoming the go-to company when they want to expose their titles to the opportunities outside of their home markets.”
