Kabam has confirmed that the San Francisco-based publisher will establish operations in Seoul.

The new office will open in April with a staff of eleven, and manage online operations, localisation, quality assurance, marketing and player-experience services in Korea.

“Korea is a major centre for Kabam’s global expansion,” said Kabam CEO Kevin Chou in a statement. “The Seoul office will help Kabam deliver our world-class games and service to this thriving market.”

Kabam was founded in 2006 and reported sales of US$360 million in 2013, up 100 per cent from the previous year. The company currently has 23 developer partners worldwide, and forecasts between US$175-200 million in revenues from third-party games for 2014.
