Linda Carlson Joins Trion Worlds as Director of Community Relations

Trion Worlds announced today that Linda Carlson has joined the global developer and publisher of premium online games as Director of Community Relations. A longstanding member of the online gaming community and best known as her gaming and cosplay identity, Brasse the Dwarf, Linda brings to Trion Worlds unrivaled charisma, a true player perspective and a true passion for the fostering of online communities.

“Linda is a unique talent and a strong advocate for player communities,” said Scott Hartsman, chief executive officer, Trion Worlds. “She’s had tremendous success in fostering and growing communities both inside and outside of games companies, and we couldn’t be happier to welcome her to the team.”

Linda began her career writing for Prima Guides before spending years covering the games industry as a contract journalist and creating online comics at thebrasse.com. She realized she had finally found her dream job working with and fostering gaming communities after joining Sony Online Entertainment in 2009, where she served as director of community for several years. Now as Director of Community Relations at Trion Worlds, a Rift player since launch and Trove fan since the game entered beta, she is eager for new challenges and opportunities across the publisher and developer’s diverse portfolio of games.

“From the first time I logged into EverQuest in 1999, I realized the potential that online games had to bring together people from different walks of life,” Linda reflects, “Age, gender, race, economic status, none of that matters in these worlds. We can be anyone we wish to be, and build unique, incredibly complex societies online. I am especially excited about the variety of genres already in Trion’s portfolio: fantasy, sci-fi, building… there is something here for every type of gamer… with more to come!”
