Korean publisher NCSoft has announced that Steel Cavalry, the upcoming fourth expansion to the company’s popular F2P MMOG Aion, will be released worldwide on 29 January.
Steel Cavalry follows last year’s Dark Betrayal expansion and will feature additional in-game instances and skills, as well as a new Aethertech class. Previous expansions include Assault on Balaurea (2010) and The Promised Lands (2011).
Aion was first launched in Korea in 2008, with a localised Chinese version released in 2009. The English language subscription-based edition was launched in 2009 and became free-to-play in both in Europe and North America in 2012.
