Nintendo has announced that Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS will launch in Japan on 13 September.
Nintendo previously confirmed that Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS will be released Europe and North America on 3 October. The Wii U edition is slated for release later this year.

The Super Smash Bros. series, a fighting game crossover featuring characters from Nintendo franchises including Mario, The Legend of Zelda and Pokémon, was originally launched worldwide for the Nintendo 64 console in 1999.
Developed by Japanese studio HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo, Super Smash Bros. titles for the Nintendo 64, Nintendo GameCube and Nintendo Wii have sold over 5 million copies worldwide.
