No Mention Of Dynasty Warriors 9 In Koei Tecmo’s Tokyo Game Show Line Up

With September’s Tokyo Game Show looming, many fans of Koei Tecmo’s Dynasty Warriors series have been speculating that Dynasty Warriors 9 may finally be revealed at this year’s event – but sadly, the anticipated hack and slash sequel hasn’t been named as part of the company’s lineup.

Perhaps that’s to be expected, though. There’s every chance that the title will get a surprise confirmation at Sony’s press conference, for example – or maybe Koei Tecmo’s just keeping it a secret so its reveal can have a bigger impact at the show. Needless to say, if it is announced, you’ll hear about it here on Push Square from a particularly excited editor.

So, what’s the publisher actually going to bring to the Tokyo Game Show? The company’s confirmed that it’ll be showing off yet-to-be-released titles such as Nioh and Berserk, as well as Toukiden 2, Dead or Alive 5: Last Round, and a “surprise announcement” from Kou Shibusawa, who’s perhaps best known in the gaming space for his work on the Nobunaga’s Ambition franchise – although it’s worth mentioning that he’s helped produce a number of other games that Koei Tecmo has had a hand in, like Dragon Quest Heroes.
