Pocket PlayLab, the Bangkok-based casual game developer and publisher of popular cross-platform titles like Juice Cubes, has acquired Philippine studio Anino Games.

“Anino Games will not only help us in reaching our regional expansion plans faster,” said Pocket PlayLab co-founder Thomas Andreasen, “their experienced team will also be an incredible asset to our future growth and assist in our positioning as SEA’s most prominent mobile game developer.”

Founded in 2002 and one of the Philippines’ most established studios, Anino Games specialises in PC, mobile and browser game development.

“Being part of Pocket PlayLab means that from developing games for other companies, we will be able to focus instead on creating new original properties which we hope will become the hits of the future,” said Anino Games CEO Niel Dagondon. “Definitely an exciting time for our studio!”
