US mobile studio Storm8, creators of Bubble Mania and the popular ‘Story’ series, is expanding into game publishing with the overseas release of Hong Kong-based Mad Head Limited’s War of Dragons (Tower of Saviors in Asia).
According to Storm8 CEO Perry Tam, the company’s new publishing business is based on bringing quality games to Storm8’s player base of 50 million monthly active users; and in the case of Asian titles like Tower of Saviors, cultural localisation for Western audiences.
“We believe that a lot of (Asian) developers do not account for the cultural differences in different markets, so we think on that front we can help other developers understand the Western market,” Tam said.
War of Dragons is now available in North America and Europe for Android and iOS devices.
