Nexon announced it is entering the anime business with three of its online games, including Arpiel, Closers, and Elsword. The teaser trailer for the Arpiel anime series was revealed last week. The studio behind the animation is Korea-based Reddog Culture House. Each game’s series will be 12 episodes long, and each episode will only last 11 minutes.
Closers is handled by Animal Animation Studio, while Elsword is produced by Dr Movie Animation Entertainment. All 3 studios are in South Korea, and it seems Nexon is looking to grow the domestic animation industry. This can only be good news. They’re expected to launch in the second half of 2016.
