Square Enix has announced that the popular MMORPG version of the Final Fantasy series, FF XIV: A Realm Reborn, will launch on PlayStation 4 in April 2014.
Prior to launch, the title’s PS4 beta release in North America and Japan will coincide with the Japanese launch of Sony’s PlayStation 4 console on 22 February.
As reported earlier, FF XIV: A Realm Reborn launched globally for PS3 and Windows PC in August this year. After initial server issues, the game’s popularity has well exceeded the publisher’s expectations, with over 1.5 million players registered worldwide.
