Redesigned Sony PS Vita

Sony has launched a slimmer, updated version of the company’s Sony PlayStation Vita handheld games console in North America. The all-new PS Vita was released in Japan last October and in Europe earlier this year.

The redesigned PS Vita is approximately 20 per cent slimmer and 15 per cent lighter than the existing model, and features a new high-definition LED display, ergonomically improved controls and longer battery life compared to the current PS Vita console.

The system is being sold in North American retail as a hardware bundle that includes the new PS Vita handheld console, an 8GB PS Vita memory card, and a copy of Borderlands 2 with six DLC packs for US$199.99.
