Unity Technologies

The popular Unity game engine from Denmark’s Unity Technologies will now support titles developed for the Sony PlayStation Vita handheld console.

The multi-platform engine is used in video games for web plug-ins, PCs, consoles and mobile devices. Unity Technologies first launched the platform for OS X in 2005.

In addition to PlayStation Vita, the Unity game engine currently supports development for iOS, Android, Windows, BlackBerry 10, OS X, Linux, web browsers, Flash, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Windows Phone 8 and Wii U.

Unity will also reportedly launch PlayStation 4 support in the near future. Further details have yet to be announced.
