Nintendo has released the Japanese sports RPG Inazuma Eleven (Lightning Eleven) in North America for Nintendo 3DS via the Nintendo eShop. The launch marks the series’ North American debut.
The popular franchise from Japanese studio Level-5 was first published domestically in 2008, with the original game’s European release in 2011.
Two Inazuma Eleven sequels have also been released in Japan for Nintendo DS and 3DS, and three spin-off titles have also been produced for Nintendo’s Wii console.
