Konami has announced Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 will be launched worldwide for Sony PlayStation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360 and Windows PCs on 25 February. A prelude demo game to Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 was released on 12 February.
The Castlevania: Lords of Shadow series has been developed by Spanish game studio MercurySteam Entertainment in partnership with Tokyo-based publisher Konami.
The original Castlevania: Lords of Shadow title was released globally for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PCs in 2010. The second game in the franchise, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate, was launched for Nintendo 3DS, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 last year.
The upcoming third Castlevania: Lords of Shadow game, the 35th title in Konami’s Castlevania franchise, is reportedly to be the last in the MercurySteam-developed series.
