Nintendo has confirmed that Japanese hit Kirby title Kirby Triple Deluxe will launch in North America on 2 May for Nintendo 3DS, and in Europe on 16 May.
Kirby Triple Deluxe was released in Japan on 11 January. According to Japanese game sales analyst Media Create, the game sold over 92 per cent of initial shipments to retailers, with 214,208 units purchased in the first week after release.
Kirby’s Dream Land, the first Kirby title in the popular series, was released in Japan for Nintendo’s GameBoy handheld console in 1992. Developed by Tokyo-based HAL Laboratory and published exclusively by Nintendo, the Kirby franchise includes over twenty games and has sold more than 30 million units worldwide.
