JP/NA PS Vita release for BlazBlue sequel

BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma

Aksys Games has announced that BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma, the third instalment in the BlazBlue 2D fighting game series from Japanese studio Arc System Works, will launch for the Sony PlayStation Vita handheld console in Japan on 24 April. The PS Vita title will debut in North America on 24 June.

The first game in the series, BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger, was originally launched in Japanese and North American arcades in 2008, and later released for Sony PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable and Microsoft Xbox 360 consoles, as well as Windows PCs in Japan, Europe and North America.



BlazBlue: Continuum Shift, the sequel to the original BlazBlue game, was also first launched in Japanese arcades in 2009, followed by console versions for Sony PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360, as well as portable editions for Sony PlayStation Portable, PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS.

BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma was first released for Japanese arcades in November 2012. The Sony PlayStation 3 version launched in Japan in late 2013, and was released in North America in March.
