NIS is working with US-based developer Nicalis to release Cave Story 3D via Nintendo 3DS eShop in Europe and North America later this year, according to the studio.
The original Cave Story title was a 2D adventure platformer for PCs released in 2004 by independent Japanese developer Daisuke Amaya.
Cave Story 3D for Nintendo 3DS was developed by Nicalis in cooperation with Amaya and distributed via retail by NIS in 2011.
