Bethesda has dated the overseas release of The Evil Within (Psychobreak in Japan), a new survival horror title from Tango Gameworks, the development studio of Capcom veteran and Resident Evil (Biohazard in Japan) series creator Shinji Mikami.
The Evil Within will be released for Sony PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, Microsoft Xbox 360 and Xbox One as well as Windows PCs on 26 August in North America. The title will roll-out in Australia and New Zealand on 28 August, and launch in Europe on 29 August.
Tokyo-based Tango Gameworks was founded by Shinji Mikami in 2010 and later acquired by ZeniMax Media, parent of game publisher Bethesda Softworks.
A Japanese release (as Psychobreak) is slated for later this year, though the exact launch date is yet to be confirmed by Bethesda.
