The successful mobile game Granblue Fantasy is getting an action role-playing game upgrade delivered by Japanese Cygames and Platinum Games. Called Granblue Fantasy Project Re:LINK, the game’s development is being handled by Platinum Games but the direction and other matters are being helmed by Cygames.
On the Cygames side of things, Tetsuya Fukuhara is acting as the game’s director along with Koichi Haruta handling the production. The characters are still being designed by Hideo Minaba and both Nobuo Uematsu and Tsutomu Narita are scoring the music.
Due to the success of games like Granblue Fantasy in Japan, Cygames is doing very well financially. This has resulted in the company acquiring some of the best names and talent in the Japanese games industry, as they are more than willing to pay for them.
The key point here though is that while the game has been announced both the platform and release date are currently unknown. Whatever is running the game currently looks decent at least, so it will be interesting to see what platform this game will end up on.
