Update: Bandai Namco has delayed the scheduled North American launch of SoulCalibur: Lost Swords. The Japanese publisher’s F2P spin-off of the popular SoulCalibur fighting game series for Sony PlayStation 3 via PlayStation Network experienced technical problems earlier in the week.
“There is currently a technical issue that has delayed the launch of the game and we have been working through this issue all through last night and today to expedite the launch of Soulcalibur: Lost Swords,” said Bandai Namco in a statement. “We have discovered that the issue requires a resolution across multiple parties and therefore our efforts to remedy the issue is taking longer than anticipated.”

SoulCalibur: Lost Swords is a single-player game featuring mission-based gameplay and based on the fighting system of the last entry in the main series, SoulCalibur V. The F2P spin-off title debuted in Japan in February.
