NetEase’s Fantasy Westward Journey 2 generated RMB1 billion (approximately US$ 155 million) in November according to a report from CNG. Fantasy Westward Journey 2 remains as the #1 mobile game by revenue in China for now eight consecutive months since its launch at the end of March 2015.

This estimation also revealed the top 10 grossing games in November, shown as in the following sales graph. Chinese game companies Netease and Tencent are dominating the top 10 grossing games charts in China in November.
We can see that the first two games were from NetEase, generating around RMB1.4 billion, while 5 titles from the 3rd place to 7th place were from Tencent, generating RMB1.5 billion. Apparently, Tencent had more games in the top 10 list than NetEase but their total revenue is similar.
In the top 50 mobile games by revenue, Tencent had 17 titles, generating RMB2.48 billion, accounting for 44.5% of the total revenue, while NetEase had 7 titles , generating RMB 1.6 billion, accounting for 28.1%. Tencent had a big lead over NetEase both in revenue and number of games in this chart.
