Japanese publisher Gree has announced the global release of Rage of the Immortals, an Android exclusive F2P RPG and the second game to be launched in partnership with Canadian studio Iugo Mobile Entertainment.

“Rage of the Immortals ties together our passion for RPG mechanics and free-to-play mobile games,” said Ken Chiu, Gree SVP for social games. “It has a great balance of RPG features, competitive player-versus-player combat action and great social experiences; all backed by a gripping story that will leave players wanting to uncover the mystery behind Hyperion’s evil ways.”

As reported last December, monthly global revenues from Gree’s F2P mobile title Knights & Dragons, also developed in cooperation with Iugo Mobile Entertainment, topped US$5 million worldwide.

“Our relationship with Iugo, a leader in building high-quality mobile games, is a great illustration of how publishing can work and is a template for future partnerships,” said Gree International CEO Naoki Aoyagi. “A core part of Gree’s strategy is developing strong publishing partnerships with some of the industry’s top development talent and we aim to keep building more hugely successful relationships like this one.”
