It’s been just a few months since the Initial Pubic Offering (IPO) of iCandy Interactive on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) and it has already hit the ground running. iCandy Interactive is the first mobile games company to IPO in South East Asia, together with its main subsidiary Appxplore is making a huge leap forward in its developments.
Appxplore Sdn. Bhd. is a mobile game development studio based in Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta. Established in 2011, it has published a number of titles to public and critical acclaim. In 2014, Appxplore was acquired by venture accelerator Fatfish Internet Group, and has since been spun-off into subsidiary company iCandy Interactive Ltd.
Appxplore is one of the few that have been awarded as a top developer by Google has since launched two games: CarneyVale: Showtime, Crab War (Soft Launch).
CarneyVale
Showtime is an action, adventure game that features ragdoll physics where your objective is swinging Slinky the puppet through obstacles and hazards to get through the hoop of fire. Winner of the Dream, Build & Play challenge and selected as one of the best games of PAX, CarneyVale was developed in collaboration with Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD).
Crab War – Mutate, Multiply & Unleash the Swarm!
Crab War, a clicker game which was soft launched at the end of March is already rated at 4.5 stars and has fans of the genre looking forward to the global release. Meeting up with Desmond, Chief Operation Officer of Appxplore, he said “Our upcoming releases will be Crab War as it goes international and Alien Path, a project that we’ve been pouring our heart and soul into for the past 2 years. We’re currently expanding the team and bringing in new talents to help speed up our production and bring a whole new experience to mobile gamers everywhere.”
