Singapore-headquartered group iCandy Interactive, the first mobile games studio in Southeast Asia to go to stock market, has since seen its revenue increase dramatically, thanks to Crab War. This newly launched game is also the fastest – within 60 days of its soft launch – to have generated a six-figure revenue (USD) for the company.
One of the recommended new adventure games, Crab War is featured by Google Play across more than 20 countries, including major markets like USA and Japan. Crab War is an addictively simple game, the intellectual properties of which are developed in-house. With over 1 million combined downloads (from Google Play and the Apple App Store), this new hit is iCandy Interactive’s most successful release to date, with the potential to spin off new titles.
iCandy Interactive is an Australian incorporated public company with as core business the development and publishing of games for mobile devices. One of the market leaders in the region, with subsidiaries in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia (including the award-winning games studio Appxplore), iCandy Interactive has stretched its success beyond the borders of Southeast Asia: several of its titles, such as Mobfish Hunter and Caveboy Escape, have been recommended as Best New Games across 15 countries in North America and Australasia.
