Nexon and Big Huge Games have revealed today that DomiNations, the mobile strategy game challenging players to lead their own civilization from the Stone Age to the Space Age, has been downloaded more than 12 million times to mobile devices around the world in its first five months. The success of DomiNations in North America, Australia and Europe has carried over to Asia, where the game surpassed 1 million downloads and reached the Top 10 Grossing Apps in its first week of availability on the App Store and Google Play in Korea. Players’ devotion to growing their civilizations is inspiring them to log into DomiNations an average of 4-6 times per day, where they spend an average of 36 minutes per day managing resources, chatting with fellow Alliance members and battling against other players. “DomiNations’ massive success in the west and expansion into Asia with more than 1 million downloads in its first week is a testament to our vision at Nexon that great games have global appeal,” said Owen Mahoney, CEO, Nexon. “Big Huge Games has developed and continues to build upon a fun and unique core gameplay experience that resonates with gamers no matter where they live and play.”
