Ski Safari 2 Will Bring Avalanche Avoiding Action to iOS

Ski Safari 2, the sequel to the hit game  Ski Safari, which has more than 140 million installs worldwide, is coming to iOS and Android devices on August 27. In  Ski Safari 2, animals, avalanches and action come together to create a casual gameplay experience simple enough for everyone to enjoy, but with enough depth to keep hardcore gamers coming back. Ski Safari 2 will keep the core easily-accessible gameplay that kept fans racing away from dangerous snow slides in the first  Ski Safari, while offering improvements such as multiplayer game modes, a new female protagonist and the option to snowboard instead of ski.

Ski Safari 2 begins when one of two protagonists, the returning Sven or newcomer Evana, awake to an incoming natural disaster and must quickly escape down the mountain before they are engulfed in destruction. As Sven and Evana race downhill they can ride animals to increase their pace, such as penguins, yetis and eagles, or use vehicles including snowmobiles, mine carts, bathtubs and pianos.  Ski Safari 2 offers more than a dozen different vehicles and animals, plus crazy combinations of the two, allowing for ridiculous and effective speed boosts.

Ski Safari 2 will feature three different levels, each with their own natural disasters – avalanches in Penguin Peaks, tornadoes at Twister Canyon and lava eruptions in Jurassic Lark. Each level will introduce wacky new animals and challenges. During the downhill descent, gamers will be able to perform crazy tricks and stunts to earn extra points, as well as complete more than 130 new challenges.  Ski Safari 2 will expand on the original “single tap” gameplay by adding swipe controls to perform tricks. Gamers with a competitive streak can challenge their friends in  Ski Safari 2’s multiplayer modes, which will support up to four players simultaneously over WiFi or Bluetooth. Challenge Attack pits players against each other to beat challenges and steal points from one another. Ring Dash requires players to collect 200 rings faster than everyone else, without dropping rings by crashing. Gamers will be able to pick up powerup items to use against their friends or to give themselves an advantage.

A new photo mode will allow gamers to take photos of epic stunts and share them on social networks. Full camera controls will be available, including rotation and zoom, as well as controlling the direction the player and animals are looking. The in-game shop will sell costumes, equipment, vehicles and powerups in exchange for coins, which are collected on the mountain slope. Coins will also be purchasable via optional microtransactions.

“After the tremendous success of the first  Ski Safari we wanted to expand on the concept and take Sven’s alpine adventures to the next level,” said Brendan Watts, director, Sleepy Z Studios. “With completely new levels, multiplayer game modes, vehicles, animals and the introduction of a new female protagonist,  Ski Safari 2 has achieved just that.”
