SQEX Collective launched, first titles announced

Square Enix Collective

Square Enix has launched the company’s game crowdfunding platform Square Enix Collective and announced three independent titles seeking support for community review.

The inaugural titles include the sim Game of Glens from Ruffian Games, the adventure title Moon Hunter by Kitfox Games and action RPG World War Machine from Tuque Games.

As reported earlier, Square Enix Collective is a partnership with crowdfunding site Indiegogo to support independent game developers.

Designers and players can exchange feedback and suggestions regarding game concepts hosted on the platform, with Square Enix deciding whether to fund the project after a month-long open evaluation period.

The company also plans to make IP from subsidiary publisher Eidos available to developers to pitch new games concepts based on older titles.
