Rune Factory 4 sells out in NA, restock rushed

According to the game’s North American distributor Xseed (a subsidiary of Japanese publisher Marvelous AQL), Rune Factory 4 for Nintendo 3DS has been “selling well beyond our expectations” and the company is rushing restocks to retailers across the US and Canada.

“We’re working as quickly as possible to restock physical copies,” said Xseed in a statement. “We encourage you to periodically check back with retailers since they should be getting more in stock soon.”

As reported earlier, the popular RPG title’s Japanese developer Neverland ceased operations last year. Neverland had developed the Rune Factory games since their inception in 2006. Rune Factory 4 was released in Japan in 2012 and in North America last October.

Marvelous AQL also decided to cancel the planned release of Rune Factory 4 in Europe last month, saying “while Marvelous AQL has made every effort to secure the title’s release for this territory, it is, unfortunately, not possible to do so at this time.”
