Square Enix has announced that the Japanese publisher’s popular MMORPG Dragon Quest X will be released for Nintendo 3DS in Japan on 4 September.
Japan-exclusive Dragon Quest X: Rise of the Five Tribes Online will also be the first streamed title on the Nintendo 3DS platform.
In March Square Enix confirmed that Dragon Quest X had sold over one million units since the title’s launch in 2012.
Dragon Quest X: Rise of the Five Tribes Online was originally released for the Nintendo Wii and was ported to Nintendo Wii U, Microsoft Windows PCs and Android devices last year. A second instalment, titled Dragon Quest X: The Sleeping Brave and the Guided Allies Online, was launched in December 2013.
An overseas release for the game has yet to be announced by Square Enix.
