Goodgame Studios, the social game developer based in Hamburg, has established offices in Tokyo and Seoul in a bid to raise the company’s profile in Asia.
“No western gaming company has ever been able to establish itself there in the long term,” said Dr. Christian Wawrzinek, Goodgame’s COO. “We want to be the first to do so. To achieve that goal, having local offices with local contact people is absolutely essential.”
Goodgame also plans to add 200 staff members by year end, which will increase the company’s global headcount to 600 employees.
