Google has released Google Play gift cards for Android devices in Japan, the first Asian territory to receive the pre-paid cards.
Japanese Google Play gift cards are available in denominations ranging from a minimum 1,500 JPY (US$15) to maximum 20,000 (US$195) – much higher than the maximum US$50/50 GBP/50 EUR cards on sale in the seven other North American and European countries where the cards are distributed.
Google Play gift cards can be used to purchase apps, games, books, movies, music and magazines for Android devices online via Google Play.
