Estonia based mobile payment company Fortumo has partnered with Indonesian operators Telkomsel, XL Axiata, Indosat and Axis networks to provide carrier billing for online transactions, extending the service to 205 million mobile device users in Indonesia.
Fortumo carrier payment platform allows subscribers to charge app, game, music and other online purchases to their mobile operator bill.
Earlier this year, Fortumo also partnered with the world’s largest operator, China Mobile, to enable carrier billing for the Chinese telecom’s 750 million subscribers.
According to Fortumo, the company’s mobile payment network now covers 2.3 billion operator subscribers in ten countries in the APAC region, including Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
