Japan based Tsugi is launching the new version of its audio localization tool Alto 2.0. In addition to its advanced audio analysis and reporting features, Alto can now automatically correct any error it found by resampling an audio file, changing its number of channels, adding or removing silence, matching the loudness of a reference file, or even replacing a missing asset by an error signal.
Thanks to the many tools included (interactive dialogue tester, placeholder speech synthesizer, loudness equalizer, audio batch renamer…), Alto 2.0 goes far beyond the simple validation of dialogue files and becomes an indispensable part of any game audio designer’s workflow.
Alto is currently being used as a reference tool by many game studios, publishers and localization agencies around the world. As games grow bigger and become more complex, the amount of dialogue they require increases dramatically. Checking thousands of recordings manually is time-consuming and error-prone, when not impossible.
Whatever your naming convention or file hierarchy is, Alto analyses your localized dialogue files (audio format, levels, timing etc…) and compares them with a reference language, reporting any mistakes it finds and correcting them if needed.
Alto can also import the files from an Excel reference sheet or synchronize with game audio middleware such as ADX2, Fabric, FMOD and Wwise. It can interface with your proprietary tools, databases and build pipelines thanks to its plug-in system and its command line version.
