China’s Huawei has unveiled the Tron games console at CES in Las Vegas. The micro-console includes a custom control pad and is designed to play Android games on televisions.
The Huawei Tron uses the Android 4.2.3 Jelly Bean operating system, and features Nvidia’s Tegra 4 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB/32GB internal storage options with 1080P HDMI video output. The device also supports 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0, and includes a standard USB 3.0 port.
Huawei has priced the Tron at US$120, though console’s primary market will be China, and tentatively scheduled launch for mid-2014. Further details regarding pricing and availability in China and overseas have yet to be announced.
