Intel Extreme Masters is gathering some of the best esports players and teams in Asia and around the globe to compete in StarCraft II and League of Legends from 28 November to 1 December at the SITEX exposition centre in Singapore.
StarCraft II players are battling for a share of the SG$25,000 prize pool. Currently qualified StarCraft II (Stage 2) players include: Bomber (Korea), DongRaeGu (Korea), Grubby (Holland), Hack (Korea), Happy (Russia), herO (Korea), Hydra (Korea), KingKong (Korea), Mvp (Korea), Scarlett (Canada) and Xigua (China).
The six professional teams that are competing in the League of Legends tournament, including invitees Invictus Gaming (China) and CJ Entus Frost (Korea), and qualifier champions Taipei Assassins (Taiwan) and Singapore Sentinels, (Singapore) will battle for SG$50,000 in prize money. The two professional teams that have been decided through community vote on 4 – 8 November include Taipei Snipers (Taiwan) and Saigon Jokers (Vietnam).
Four Asian amateur teams will also have the chance to win part of a SG$20,000 prize pool in a separate amateur League of Legends tournament. Qualified teams already include Hong Kong Attitude (Hong Kong) and DetonatioN FM (Japan).
