In culmination of months of competition around the globe, Korean favourites SK Telecom T1 defeated China’s Royal Club in Los Angeles to take the League of Legends World Championship title and US$1 million prize pool.

League of Legends is developed and published by US studio Riot Games. The title has become a global hit for Riot, with annual revenues estimated at US$200 million. “It’s a true example of global success,” said DFC intelligence analyst David Cole.
