The market research and predictive analytics firm Newzoo launches a new free monthly ranking: Top iOS Games by Revenues covering the US, China and Europe. It also announces a partnership with app analytics specialist Priori Data aimed at complementing its own service and existing strategic co-operation with China’s mobile intelligence leader Talking Data. The Top iOS Games by Downloads, also available on the Newzoo website as of today, is powered by Priori Data. These new services and partnerships reflect Newzoo’s ambition to be the first research and analytics company in the world that offers a full suite of games-related market intelligence across all screens, business models and regions.
Newzoo’s new top iOS games by revenue ranking is based on its own proprietary analysis and modelling of app store data in combination with its predictive global revenue model. The latter provides projections for smartphone and tablet gaming on a global, regional and country scale and is part of Newzoo’s Global Games Market Report Premium service, used by the majority of global game, media and hardware companies. Earlier this year, Newzoo increased the granularity of this service to include revenue figures for the main app stores. The next step is to provide the monthly revenue estimates for the top 1,000 mobile games on the iPhone and iPad across 40 countries.
