Korean mobile device manufacturer Samsung has announced a new version of the company’s Android smartphone gamepad and mobile console app.
The Samsung GamePad connects with smartphones and tablets through Bluetooth pairing, is compatible with devices running Android 4.1 OS or higher and ranging from 4-6.3 inches in screen size.
The mobile console app can be downloaded from Samsung Apps online or directly via a connected gamepad. 35 dedicated GamePad titles will be available at launch, with more games scheduled for release in 2014, according the the company.
The Samsung GamePad has been rolled-out in limited European markets, with launch in other territories scheduled for this month and early next year. Further release details and pricing have yet to be announced by the manufacturer.
