Koei Tecmo has announced that the Japanese publisher will release Zero: The Black-Haired Shrine Maiden, a Wii U exclusive Zero (Fatal Frame overseas) sequel, on 27 September in Japan.
The upcoming game will be the fifth title in the Zero series, and a follow-up to the Wii-exclusive Zero: Tsukihami no Kamen (Fatal Frame IV: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse overseas) developed by Tokyo-based studio Grasshopper Manufacture and released in 2008.

The first game in the Zero survival horror series launched in Japan for Sony PlayStation 2 in 2001.
An overseas release for Zero: The Black-Haired Shrine Maiden has yet to be confirmed by Koei Tecmo.
