The World Series of Video Games, Inc., an US company specialized in Electronic Sports, a rising phenomenon, announced an investment of more than $3 Million USD to organize the World Series of Video Games Maldives 2015 presented by G2A.com. The event will be held from October 5th to October 10th in the Republic of Maldives, on a luxurious resort located in a private island, it will feature as one of the most exclusive e-Sports events in the World.
The event will bring together some of the best players in the world of e-Sports, especially on the real time strategy games, such as StarCraft 2, Hearthstone and Age of Empires 2. Also featuring the world renowned soccer franchise of FIFA 15. Competitors will battle for a cash prize and the glory of becoming the World Series of Video Games Champion. The prize structure to be allocated includes prizes for all participants, making the competition even more attractive to players, especially amateurs and the semi-professionals, of whom will get their efforts rewarded despite the fact that they will be competing against professional players.
The players will be selected by means of online qualifiers and LAN events around the world, which include the USA, United Kingdom, Portugal, Brazil, Philippines, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, China and Russia. These regional qualifiers will be held by strategic partners, including e-Sports companies such as WorldGaming, eSports Middle East , Big Kazan, MeetUP, Philippines eSports Federation , UCC Russia and Voobly.
The regional qualifiers and the Grand Finals will be broadcast worldwide, with the support of Metta Sport , Twitch DouyuTV China and several other media outlets.
The Qualifiers will be open to everyone, both amateur and professional players are welcome to compete for the right to earn one of the 8 spots in the Grand Finals, all of which will be played live in the Maldives.
